 Gallery Pristine OverviewPristine gallery is a showroom exhibiting marvelous collection reflecting the best from the best pick of Udaipur's rich crop of contemporary artists. It also specializes in many small pieces by Shail Choyal, a guru of contemporary Indian painting. Other highlights include the stylized work of Shahid Parvez, a very fine local artist.
The paintings here are an attempt to create humour which comes from the perception and depiction of the incongruities of existence which are always present in the folk and tribal art forms. Nevertheless, you are not going to miss the flux of the modern existence and fathom the new aesthetics and the new urban locale. |

The artists represented in Gallery pristine are an interesting mix of some of the contemporary artists working in Udaipur as well as other places in Rajasthan.
Owner Shahid Parvez is a talented guy and he is always willing to spend time chatting over a cup of chai.
In all of the times I have spent in the galleries (there are three of them in the city), I have never felt rushed or pushed to buy anything.
If you want to collect art which isn't run of the mill repeats of the standard Mughal miniatures, then spend some time in Gallery Pristine.
