![]() Cafe Paris OverviewCafe Paris is one of Reykjavik city‘s most beloved restaurants and cafes, and has been for twenty years. It‘s ideally situated by Austurvollur square, where Icelanders go to celebrate the sun in the summertime. Inside Cafe Paris, you‘ll be able to relax in a calm and casual atmosphere, while enjoying a hearty meal, a refreshing drink, or a warm cup of coffee in beautiful surroundings.
The menu at Cafe Paris is impressively diverse, and everyone should be able to find something to their liking. They offer small dishes, health food and drinks, crepes, salads, hamburgers, soups, pastas, sandwiches, meat and fish courses, deserts, children‘s specials and brunch. As for drinks, they have a wide selection of coffee, tea, soft drinks, organic drinks, wine, bottled or poured beer, and more.
Cafe Paris is not only good for food and drinks, it‘s also an excellent spot for people-watching, and having interesting conversation with whomever you choose to bring there with you. The outdoor seating area in the summer is a big attraction for locals and travelers, as it is one of the best spots in the city to meet with your friends, bask in the sunlight, have a cold drink and a laugh.
We recommend that you check out the daily specials, where you will find desirable and very affordable offers such as meat/fish of the day, accompanied by soup of the day for only 1790ISK. Over all, the menu at Cafe Paris is pretty reasonably priced and you are almost guaranteed to be pleased.
Whether you plan on staying in Iceland for a while or just a few days, make sure to visit Cafe Paris at least once if you‘re hungry or thirsty, no matter what time it is. They serve food well into the night and you are always welcome.

February 2010 The ultimate place to people-watch
Gill Lee from London
Cafe Paris is the centre of coffee society in Reykjavik. Drop in any time and watch a selection of young mothers, snappily dressed businessmen, the local Pagan Society meeting or students in recovery from the night before. The views of city life from the huge windows are seond to none and even though the service can be a bit slapdash it is the first place we head for whenever we return to Iceland. Long live Cafe Paris!

September 2009 Ok for lunch
Henrik Pedersen from Olso - Norway
This place is okay for lunch but nothing more than that. I found the service to be a little shaky as well but that might have been due to a busy lunch. The food was alright but like I said, nothing special.
