Whale watching Day tours Family fun

Make sure to check out the weather forecast for the day you plan on taking a tour. You could avoid sea sickness and being uncomfortable on your trip

North Sailing was the first company in Iceland to organize and offer regular whale watching tours, and is currently the most experienced whale watching company in Iceland, having carried more than 300.000 visitors in 8000 tours. The staff is highly experienced and all of the boats are traditional wooden fishing boats that have been carefully restored and adapted to their new role, without compromising their original character. North Sailing has always been a family company, owned and run by three generations within the family.

In 1994, brothers Arni and Hordur founded North Sailing, and started providing regular whale- and nature watching in Skjalfandi Bay a year later. The tours quickly became very popular, with the number of passengers growing from 1.700 to 12.000 a year from 1995-1998. They bought more boats and expanded their business over the years, and today they have six boats, a restaurant (Gamli Baukur), a café (Skuld Café) and offer extremely popular whale and puffin watching tours in Skjalfandi Bay. The number of passengers per year had reached over 20.000 by the millenium, and it's still growing fast.

North Sailing offers a wide selection of trips, tours and cruises, and their main goal is to make the customer happy, safe and satisfied. Everyone should be able to find something to their liking at North Sailing. Departures for scheduled tours are fairly frequent. If, for some reason, you can't find a tour that is suitable for you, North Sailing welcomes all ideas and requests from their customers, and you can organize one by yourself under guidance from the highly qualified staff.

Your trip to Iceland can't possibly be completed without a whale watching tour. Book your trip with North Sailing today for a tour with a highly experienced company that is sure to please.
