Veloso Bar & Lounge

The Veloso Bar is currently one of the most popular night spots in Leblon and all of Rio. It is not unusual to see groups of people drinking and partying outside its doors waiting to get in.

The self professed "lounge bar" is looking to recreate some of the vintage Bossa Nova music and style made popular in Ipanema during the time of Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim and Vinicius De Moraes. The poets and song writers made the Bossa Nova style popular and immortalized it with their hit, "The Girl from Ipanema".

The Velosa Bar has mastered an ability to provide this retro charm while keeping their pulse on the preferences of their relative young audience. The bar and restaurant features an extensive menu of casual appetizers and dishes that are reasonably priced and have captured the attention of a large following.
