Botequim Informal Copacabana 1 Bar

The Botequim Informal series of bars in Rio has become a large hit. This bar is one of two in Copacabana and is a great place to watch football games as you enjoy some of the best chopp (draft beer) found anywhere.

Like all good bars, the beer is served cold and the snacks are tasty, but the draft beer is served a bit differently than some may have experienced in other pubs. The beer at Botequim Informal is served from two taps - the first tap supplies the principal liquid brew where the second tap provides the creamy foam for on top.

You can enjoy your beer and not have to leave if you are hungry. The bar serves great steak sandwiches and salads. One favorite version of their steak dish is called Mineirinho - A plate of mouth watering steak with fried cassava and melted cheese on top -- its fantastic!

A relative new item on the menu is their Filé à Milanesa - A steak filet or chicken cutlet served "Milano" style with arugula salad and potatoes. Something a little lighter but very popular is the Filé de Peixe Informal - a fish filet served with saffron rice, mushrooms and a lettuce and tomato salad.
