Our definition of 'Pub' here in Rio is really just a subset of the incredible quantity and variety of bars that you will find in the city. Rio’s pubs are bit less formal and always seem to offer great food.

You will find pubs that feature the sports scene – both local and international – as well as pubs where the focus is on the beer. Beer in Rio is served two ways and some pubs are based on a particular style of service. You will find 'chopp' pubs that only serve draft beer and those that serve beer only in bottles, known as "Boteco da Garrafa".
