There is a wide variety of parks and gardens in Rio. When you are a bit tired of all the active 'things to do', just sit back, take in the fresh air, and view the scenery. Watching the locals go about their daily routine is fun as well.

If you are itching for exercise, visit the majestic Flamengo Park. Another venue to engage in your early morning jog or bike ride is the Lagoa. The beautiful water, wildlife and gourmet kiosks add to its idyllic charm. If you’re into Botanical Gardens, you will be hard pressed to find a better one than the Jardim Botânico.
