Starting with September 15th, art enthusiasts will have the chance to visit an innovative exhibition on display at Peles Castle in Sinaia. The castle houses the greatest painting collection belonging to the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. The paintings were ordered by King Carol I and realized between 1883 and 1886 by Klimt and fellow Viennese painters Ernst Klimt and Franz Matsch at the Künstler-Compagnie workshop.

The paintings can be grouped in 3 different categories: the ancestors’ gallery (ancestors of the king, belonging to the House of Hohenzollern), copies after the works of important painters and original paintings. All these works will be displayed inside the exhibition halls from Peles Castle.

Visiting Hours:

Wednesday: 11:00 – 17:00

Thursday – Sunday: 9:15 – 17:00

Last entry: 16:15.

Adults: 6 lei

Pupils, students, Euro 26 card holders: 1.5lei

Seniors: 3 lei
