Ion Creanga Children's Park

Starting with June 1st 2012, all the children from Timișoara have a place of their own where they can have fun outdoors. “Ion Creangă” Children’s Park was reopened after ample restoration and rehabilitation works and now waits for hundreds of kids to visit it every day.

Built in 1858, the park has always been the favourite place of generations of children, who came here with their parents and grandparents to stroll through the alleys, play in the specially arranged areas and meet other children. Nowadays, the park boasts with numerous games and entertainment facilities for kids, including mini-train rides, merry-go-rounds, mini-golf, hammocks, an Indians’ village with canoes and wooden cottages, a Dark Forrest, chess games, slides, hobby horses, but also extensive green areas.
