Seoul Art Galleries

Some of the best art galleries in Seoul are located north of the river in proximity to Gwanghwamun Square but you should definitely not miss a trip to south of the river as well, if you are an art lover.

In proximity to Gwanghwamun Square you'll find Deoksugung Palace, home to The National Museum of Art and near the palace you have Seoul Museum of Art another great place to indulge in art. In nearby Samcheongdong and Insadong, two neighborhoods filled with galleries, you'll find galleries such as Gallery Hyundai and Daelim Contemporary Art Museum.

If you are south of the river in Gangnam you need to visit Seoul Arts Center near Nambu Terminal which hosts several great galleries such as Hangaram Art Museum and Hangaram Design Museum. Or what about Platoon Kunsthalle? A unique urban space with its own little art gallery.

You could also be adventurous and spend an afternoon in Insadong walking the countless alleys. Insadong neighborhood has the highest concentration of art galleries in Seoul.
