Sicily has 5 airports, 2 main airports are located in Palermo and Catania. Trapani airport is rather on the smaller side, but still serves well for mainly low coast arlines as well as flights to other 2 Sicilian airports, one in Lampedusa and second one in Pantelleria. Lampedusa and Pantelleria airports are aslo connected to Palermo and Catania airports and Milan and Rome airports.

Unfortunately there are no direct flightsto Sicily from and to USA, Canada, New Zeland and Australia. Usually you would have to go to Rome first and from there catch a flight to Sicily.

Palermo Airport

is called Falcone-Borsellino Airport (PMO) (previously know as Punta Raisi Airport). The airport is located cca 35 km from Palermo, 130 km from Cefalu and there are number of options how to get to and from the airport for instance car hire, airport transfers, buses and taxi. There is also train which should take you in the centre of Palermo within 40 minutes departing every 1,5 hour from the lower floor.
