The South-eastern region of Dolenjska is well known for it rich history and numerous rolling green hills on which quality vine is grown. It is also famous for its long lasting traditions and rich history. One of the best ways to explore the culture of the region is with Rudolph's Raft. On a unique wooden raft you'll be entertained by locals who will present the past and present of Novo mesto and also serve you with traditional local delights.
Rudolph's raft takes you slowly along the outskirts of Novo mesto from where you are able to admire a large variety of the area's important buildings, sculptures and other sightseeing points, while all the time enjoying some beautiful traditional music. Locals on board will tell you more about the Kamen Manor and Novi dvor/Neuhof, the dome of St. Nicholas which proudly stands in the middle of the old town, Breg (one of the most picturesque motives of Novo mesto), a Franciscan Monastery and the church of St. Leonard.
Guests are also served with famous local wine, 'cviček', and with a warm, light traditional dish (please note that this comes for an extra fee). Each guest also gets a small souvenir which will remind them on this local experience.
