Slovenia is home of wine! More than 1300 winegrowers bottle wine in the country and produce around 60,000 l of vintage wine every year but if you would like to experience the real atmoshpare of wine making, select accommodation in a vineyard cottage.
Famous winegrowers can be found all over the country. They will be happy to open the doors of their wine cellars and show you around. Of course you will be offered with a selection of wines at the end of your visit.
Staying in a vineyard cottage is a unique experience for all. Cottages are decorated in traditional style and feature amazing views on surrounding hills. Most of the owners will await their visitors and welcome them with traditional finger food (local meat products, cheese etc) and of course home-made wine.
