My Destination Sunshine Coast is part of the My Destination network. A global network of sites created in 2006 by two young entrepreneurs, James Street & Neil Waller. My Destination is focused on providing websites that offer unrivalled levels of local information, actually written by locals. Each site is run by a team on the ground in each destination who have their fingers on the pulse and are providing real time information. The websites combine accurate information on the local area and businesses with the added usability of an online booking engine, offering travellers a one-stop shop where they can research and book their holiday on a single website.
The websites are fresh and simple in design, with a firm focus on quality and quantity of content. Reviews are always written first-hand and every effort is taken to obtain the best images and information available in order to present a true representation of the services on offer. User-generated content and feedback is also built into the website, building upon content quantity and accuracy; major features of the service we provide.

Heading up My Destination Sunshine Coast - Niki and Justin Deighton

Niki and Justin Deighton, who met through their respective work in the music industry going back further than either of them care to remember! They have been together now for 12 years and have 2 children.

Niki cut her teeth at various music industry packaging companies before finding her real love of marketing and promotions and set up ThinkTank Media in 2000 to offer creative services to an array of music and media clients. Justin’s love of music and travelling saw him dj’ing worldwide throughout his twenties, until he decided to hang up his headphones and join ThinkTank in 2002. Together they branded and built the company to where it is today.

An extended holiday to Australia in December 2008 ignited a spark for both of them and they both fell in love with the beautiful Sunshine Coast & city of Brisbane.They made the decision to apply for a Business Visa as soon as they returned and then started the long process of unravelling their ties in the UK!

After exploring many business ventures they were inspired when they found MyDestination.com. A few meetings with Neil and James confirmed their view that they had found a great business to promote when they get to the Sunshine Coast. They are looking forward to exploring Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast even more and finding many more hidden gems.

Niki and Justin both love travelling, food, meeting people , and exploring business ventures so this business couldn’t be more perfect!
