How to Get to Coolum Beach

Coolum Beach is so easy to get to and with cheap flights from most major cities and just an hour and a half from Brisbane, you can enjoy our beachside lifestyle all year round!

Maroochydore airport is only 10 minutes drive from the Coolum Region, with transfers to and from the airport to your accommodation.

Driving here Coming from Brisbane, it's straight up the Bruce Highway, then exit off at the Yandina Exit, Turn right at the first round about and continue along Yandina Coolum Road for appox 12kms, head straight through the round abouts til you hit the beach. Turn left onto David Low Way and approx 200mt on the right is the main beach car park. You can see our truck from the road parked next to the skate park in Tickle Park. Tickle Park is located between the Coolum Surf Life Saving Club and the Coolum Caravan Park.

	Coolum Surf School Overview Lessons are available at all levels. For the beginner, learn about ocean safety, rips, safety and surf etiquette and of course getting you up to ride a wave! For the intermediate rider improve surf safety skills, learn about better wave selection and upgrade your manoeuvres. And for the advance rider the lessons are designed to implement best manoeuvres ,strategies for surfing competitions and playback on video or photos so you can have visual feedback on your surfing. All staff are level 1 and 2 Surfing Australia Accredited Coaches. Coolum Surf School provide male and female coaches and are all friendly,enthusiastic and patient! Surf Groms for my 5 & 8 year old.

My kids have started surf groms at coolum surf school with Chris and his team. I gotta say they had some much fun! The instructors kept it enjoyable and made them feel they had really achieved something when they got up on their boards. They keep asking when is the next lesson. :)
