Karambezi Café

Our two international chefs from Sweden & Australia each bring a new level of sophistication and flair to our dishes. Passionate about food, they put their heart into each and every dish – from baking breakfast croissants to preparing decadent grilled lobster.

In addition to the restaurant and bar, we also cater for events taking place at the hotel as well as outside catering..

Alcove Restaurant

The Alcove warmly welcomes you to the world of Indian and Chinese cuisine. Established since 1987, The Alcove restaurants are among the oldest and most popular in Dar es Salaam, all with an exceptional reputation for serving authentic and consistently high quality food.

We serve traditional Indian delicacies from all corners of India, which are prepared with passion by our Indian master chefs. From Tandoor delicacies to succulent curries and from basmati biryanis to Indian breads, we offer a style and taste of food to suit every pallet.

Our Chinese chef specializes in cooking Cantonese and Szechuan dishes. The extensive menu includes favourites such as crispy chicken in plum sauce, Shanghai lobster and prawns in garlic sauce.

We also undertake catering for special events like cocktails, conference lunches, corporate functions, and outside events.

Coral Cliff Bar

Fully air-conditioned and with an outside terrace, Coral Cliff bar is an ideal place to relax after work, enjoy a pre-dinner drink or simply to have an afternoon tea and coffee in peaceful surroundings.

We have a wide selection of drinks and snacks and have built up a reputation for serving the best cocktails in Dar es Salaam. Our cocktails also happen to be an excellent accompaniment to one of The Alcove Restaurant’s delicious curries!

Kaskazi Lounge

A simply stunning bar and lounge with a 180 degree view of the ocean. Fully glass enclosed and air-conditioned, the Kazkazi lounge is a truly unique venue in Dar es Salaam.

Our aim is to offer an exclusive social venue of the highest quality. As such, Kazkazi operates as a Private Members lounge whilst remaining open to all resident guests. It is the ideal place to meet clients, work in inspiring surroundings and to sit and relax with a newspaper and glass of fine wine.

The bar has an excellent selection of imported wines, spirits and cigars. Meals are not served in the Kazkazi Lounge, however a table can be prepared for you downstairs in the Karambezi Café while you relax in the lounge above.
