Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp Overview

The Camp, which consists of seven spacious tents with their own verandas, bathrooms and all the comforts of a lodge, lies amidst a natural palm and acacia forest with a colossal rock outcrop as a backdrop and a natural spring nearby.

Kisima Ngeda offers a different experience from the rest of your safari. Here you can actually get out of your car, explore trails around the lake, visit local tribes such as the WaHadzabe, the only surviving hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania.

Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp Accommodation:

Sitting in a small forest of acacias on the edge of a spring the camp is designed to blend in with the natural environment. Constructed almost entirely with palms and trees from the family's property, each of Kisima Ngeda's seven tents are built on a permanent wooden platform with a palm thatched roof, a hand carved bed, and a fully enclosed bathroom and shower with hot water, the tents are carefully created to be low-impact, spacious, and totally comfortable, each has a stunning view of the lake.

Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp Facilities:

Kisima Ngeda has an elegant restaurant serving delicious freshly cooked meals, using many ingredients from the family's own farm including milk, cheese and butter. The camp also produces its own fish, bacon and ham. Bottled water is served with every meal. The dining room faces the lake and has a full service bar attached to it.

Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp Location:

Kisima Ngeda also has lounge area, with plenty of comfortable seating, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Guests can also enjoy sun-downers on the large rocky outcrop high above the camp with magnificent views over the area.

In the evening guests can sit around a camp fire and enjoy the sunset over the lake.

Other facilities include a swimming pool and laundry service.

Well worth the drive in...to find such a hidden gem. Accommodation is excellent, couldn't believe we were in a tent, so comfy & such a relaxing location. Meals are amazing, even served on hot plates! Nani and her husband, Chris, are lovely & very helpful as well as all of their staff. Visiting the bushmen was a neat experience. We would love to visit Kisima Ngeda again and to see Mody, our special new friend, who was our guide to see the bushmen. Many thanks
