About an hours drive from Moshi, near the Holili border post of Tanzania and Kenya, lies Lake Chala. a unique and almost ‘bottomless’ caldera lake, with crystal clear water fed only by underground streams from Kilimanjaro. The camp site fully equipped with seperate ladies and gents ablution blocks, hot water, BBQ grills and well stocked bar, and resteraunt. Now CAMPING MADE EASY, you can RENT-A-TENT at Chala and order your own food from the kitchen.

Lake Chala Campsite Location:

From Himo Junction, go straight on if coming from Moshi; turn right if coming from Segera) Drive 10 ks towards the Holili / Taveta Border. (Pass the new road under construction) Round a big corner as you come up the hill you will see the Lake Chala Campsite sign board on your left. Turn left at sign onto a dirt road.
