Nane Nane is one of the many vibrant public holidays in Tanzania, held on August 8 (the 8th of the 8th month, nane nane means "eight eight" in Swahili).

Nane Nane fairs are a national event celebrated to recognize farmers’ contribution to the Tanzania economy. They provide an opportunity for Farmers and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and business.

Nane Nane is celebrated in seven Zones namely; Northern-Arusha, Eastern-Morogoro, Lake-Mwanza, Highland-Mbeya, Southern-Lindi and Songea, Western-Tabora and Central-Dodoma from 1st- 8th August, every year.
