Tanzania Insurance

The Tanzanian insurance industry is well-developed and operates at international standards.  Most insurance companies are privately owned except for National Insurance Corp. which is state-owned.

It is compulsory for every vehicle to be insured against 3rd Party Liabilities and can be bought from any licensed insurance company.  Apart from motor insurances, virtually every other type of insurance cover is available for businesses and individuals.  But remember - always check the fine print!
