Medical and Dental in Tanzania

Although the government provides health care, it is generally recommended that visitors, who can afford it, try to seek private medical care which offers a much higher standard.

Private hospitals and clinics, of which some of them are inadequately equipped for serious illnesses requiring intensive care or major surgery, can be found in most large towns.  Dentists, chemists and other medical specialists can also be found in the major towns.  When travelling to Tanzania always remember to pack a small medical kit!
