Railtrack Rider - Maydena Adventure Hub

Enjoy a ride along a 2.5km section of disused railway in a pedal powered railtrack rider whilst enjoying the forests that are part of the Florentine Valley. Maydena is a 75 minute drive west of Hobart.
The Railtrack Rider is one of the activities available from the Maydena Adventure Hub. It is a four-wheeled, lightweight vehicle that travels on the disused railway. Enjoy travelling into the Florentine Valley using pedal power.
The Maydena Adventure Hub features a café serving refreshments, light meals and snacks.
Ticket purchase can be made at the Maydena Station (no eftpos). Other facilities include van and coach parking and gift shop.
Bus transport is available from Hobart with O'Driscoll's Coaches, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tour bookings are available for the Railtrack Rider and Top of the World Tours, which depart from the hub.
Bookings essential for the Railtrack Rider which departs from the hub, children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Also on display at the hub is a 1928 steam hauler. Until the invention of the steam hauler, the only way to transport logs from the forest was by horse of bullock team along timber tramways.
