    How to get there

By car: Exit the TF-1 motorway at Playa de las Americas, follow the slip road towards Playa la Troya beach and Avenida Rafeal Puig. The road here stops just before the pedestrian area known as 'the strip'. Monkey Beach Bar is just here, overlooking the beach.

    Latitude / Longitude: 28.069102, -16.73260

Ideally positioned on the famous sands of Playa la Troya, the Monkey Beach Club overlooks the Atlantic and is without doubt one of the coolest places to sip and savour an ice cold beer or crushed-iced cocktail in Tenerife.

You can literally walk from your sun bed into this classy Playa de las Américas beach bar which sits in front of one of the best beaches in the south of the island. And the view... wow... damn good! A beautiful stretch of golden sand, La Gomera in the distance and a magnificent sunset disappearing behind the horizon.

By day, Monkey Beach Club is a haven for sun worshippers looking for a bit of respite from the subtropical rays.

This is an Über-trendy café bar with sumptuous bench-style seating and soft snooze-inducing sun loungers as well as tables for those who want to sample the menu.

It’s a fusion of cafe culture with a touch of cocktail bar, restaurant and beach club all rolled into one. Something which is pretty hard to pull off, but Monkey Beach Club Tenerife have!

Reminiscent of Café del Mar, this exclusive Tenerife bar is the place to see and be seen. The concept is a simple one; make something great and the people will come. And they sure do. On any given day or night, holidaymakers pass by this notoriously cool local hang out and have just got to go in. The lure of beach-side dining and drinking combined with this kind of laid-back atmosphere is just way too tempting to resist.

They have created the type of beach bar environment you day-dream about on a wet Wednesday afternoon at home. Little statues of monkeys, African-themed furniture, chill-out music, palms and plants all add to the ‘take it easy’ ambiance.

And there’s a real distinction between day and night here. The lunch time menu offers light snacks like fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, pastas and burgers, while the evening menu is far more extravagant.

At nightfall the atmosphere remains relaxed but the food becomes more deluxe with the Monkey Beach Bar & Grill menu; tasty prime cuts of meat and fish, gorgeous desserts and some choices for the little people too.

Inbetween courses, you’ll hear the sounds of the waves crashing against the shores of La Troya beach.

The Monkey Beach Club is a must for anyone staying in Playa de las Américas and anywhere else in the south for that matter – top marks for one the best bars anywhere in Tenerife.
