Haydn Haus

Haydn loved his house a bit beyond the city centre, and he lived here for the last 12 years of his life. He was so fond of his home that he even enlarged it by on floor and moved up to the top appartment leaving the rest of the house at the disposal of his employers.

Here you will be able to admire many of his personal items, his piano, documents where you can follow his musical development, certificates, gifts from his "fans", etc....you will be able to get an excellent impression about the life of the musician and the links to the political and social setting of the time...well worth a visit!

Do not forget to wander the gardens after your visit in the museum, it just openend to the public a short while ago - they are wonderful!
