René Magritte is without saying one of the most renowned artists of the 20th century, and the Albertina is celebrating his popularity with a collection of more than 150 of his works, including drawings, collages, rarely shown photographs and films.
This exhibition is a collaboration with Tate Liverpool and focuses around the artist's use of patterns, recurring objects, covering and revealing, visual breaks and eroticism. It's really quite interesting to see the connections between his most famous works, his works for the advertising industry and the influence pop culture had on him.
