Welcome to New Zealand Parliament, the home of democracy in New Zealand, and one of the most iconic sets of buildings in Wellington.
The Introduction to Parliament tour is our most popular tour, taking place multiple times throughout the day. It is a great way to get a general introduction to our parliamentary processes, the architecture and history of our buildings, and how to have your say in Parliament.
Walk through 3 buildings of the parliament buildings including a look inside the debating chamber and select committee rooms. Photography is permitted on tours in specific locations.
Other tours regularly scheduled throughout the week include Kids in the House tours, Art and Collection tours as well as tours focusing on both women and Māori in Parliament.
Opening Hours:
Parliament is open for tours 7 days a week from 9.30am - 5.00pm except some public holidays.
Public tours are free of charge and bookings are highly recommended.

The Public Gallery is open to visitors on house sitting days.
Te Papakura is Parliaments dedicated exhibition space featuring art and objects from the collection and artists around Aotearoa.
Open Tuesday - Sunday: 10.00am- 4.00pm.
