York has many nice beer gardens where you can relax and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. They are not all traditional beer gardens though, some have been created in the most unexpected places.
One of my favourite 'beer gardens' is at the Habit in Goodramgate. You would not expect there to be an outside space here at all but they have created one on the roof. When you go upstairs you can go outside and get one of the best views of the Minster in York. Be careful though it can be a real sun trap here as it gets the sun all day long!
