Our Locals' Tip: This is a huge site with lots of walking so make sure that you are wearing comfortable shoes. Take a picnic to save some money as you could be there all day long. Most attractions are in the open air so a dry day is definitely better if possible.

The award winning York Maze will be open for the summer season from 14th July - 2nd September 2012 with new attractions as well as all the old favourites. Created from over 1.5 million maize plants and covering an area larger than fifteen Wembley football pitches, York Maze is one of the largest mazes in the world! With a different design every year our maze is ready to baffle visitors both old and new. Find your way around the maze, collect the clues to solve the puzzle and you may win a prize!

Then relax and enjoy the great cafe and bbq while the kids enjoy all the activities that are on offer. As well as huge play areas and a petting farm to keep the kids busy all day long, the water wars is a great way to cool down on a hot summers day!

Don't forget the unmissable Crowmania ride for some crazy mazy fun! At the end of your visit the Ivy store gift shop has a great range of gifts and souvenirs for all.
