![]() Tafika Zambezi OverviewTafika Zambezi is a stunningly appointed lodge on one of the most scenic sites on the Zambezi river. The camp consists of 7 twin bedded brick under thatch lodges with en-suite bathrooms with tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fans and individual mosquito nets. Each room has fantastic views over the Zambezi with the Zambian Hills making for an awesome backdrop.
Tafika is an all inclusive lodge including accommodation, all meals, all drinks, teas, coffees, boat hire, 50 litres of fuel per day, tackle and bait and National Park Fees. Each boat has an experienced river guide on board to assist you with your daily fishing requirements. The skimmer boats are ideally suited for four anglers per boat and include four tiger rods and four bream rods per boat together with cooler boxes of refreshments, life jackets, UHF radios, basic first aid kits and the all important worms for bait.
With over 40 kilometres of river available this is one of the prime locations for Tiger Fishing on the Zambezi and both novice and experienced fishermen are almost guaranteed to land trophy sized Tiger Fish. In addition there is fantastic bream fishing, abundant Chessa and always the possibility of catching one of the "old men of the river - the Vundu.
Although we do not offer game drives whilst on the river there are fantastic opportunities for spectacular bird viewing, abundant game viewing and phenomenal photographic opportunities.
At the end of a rewarding day's fishing clients return to the oasis that is Tafika. Clients can help themselves to an ice-cold drink in our well appointed bar, cool down in the swimming pool, sit around the fire in the early evening narrating the day's fishing "tails" and then enjoy a sumptuous meal - all whilst looking over the mighty Zambezi.

We have traveled to various camp/lodges around the world and we found Tafika on par with the best camps/lodges we have stayed at. Andrew and Shelagh are fantastic hosts, catering for all our needs. Thank you to all at Tafika for a wonderfully relaxing 10 days. Absolutely superb

Fantastic experience, with great facilities and layout, very rewarding. (the beers were far too cold, and the coffee was far too hot! ï?)

One of the most welcoming lodges I have ever been to! Andrew, Shelagh and their staff made our stay unforgettable and we will have many stories to tell for a long long time! We will definitely be back. Willem was great company on the river and his knowledge of fishing is guaranteed to get any angler the fish that they are looking for. Cold beers were drunk and a great time had by all!!!
Thanks very much to all of the Tafika crew. 10/10 Well Done!

November 2009 Singing Tafika's Praises
I have tried to be objective in filling out the questionnaire but I really cannot think a single thing that will help improve the standard as everything about the camp was well above our expectations.
Andrew and Shelagh were so warm and friendly; they were always there to offer help and have a chat but never so much so that we felt they were in our faces. Perfect hosts really, as Zimbos living abroad we really appreciated the good old-fashioned Zimbo hospitality, simple things done very well. We have already been singing Tafika?s praises and cannot wait for a return trip. As I sit in my UK office and fill this out, I think of the beautiful view of the river from my Tafika Chalet .........and want to cry.
