There are plenty of Mono-Hull Houseboats for hire on Lake Kariba, ranging greatly in size and capacity. Generally they are faster than pontoons and handle rougher weather better.

Mono Hull Houseboats normally have the cabins below deck and the bar/entertainment area above deck. Facilities vary between the Mono Hull boats, however it is common to have a splash pool/jacuzzi on board and on the more upmarket boats, air conditioning is available in the cabins and sometimes in the lounge area.
