Half day and Full day Canoe Safaris are on offer generally all year round, depending of course on the rain which can make the roads so wet that it is impossible to launch the canoes

This part of the river is not affected by Lake Kariba, so the river changes, and new channels open up with the change of the water level, making every year’s safari new and exciting.

Half and Full day safaris start with a drive from the Adventure Lodge to the beginning of the canoe safari. You are able to practise your canoe skills prior to the safari and are given a compulsory safety talk by a professional river guide.

Half day safaris operate in the mornings, and are between one and a half to two hours long. The full day safari enables you to canoe for up to two hours in the morning and afternoon, enjoy a light lunch on the banks of the Zambezi River in between.

Throughout your canoe, you will have the opportunity to view game such as Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, and can enjoy the beautiful vegetation along the banks of the river.

There are also longer overnight canoe safaris, and rafting and camping options available on request.
