Therefore, each destination is run by a team on the ground who have their fingers on the pulse and write from a first-hand experience, whether they are trying out places to eat, visiting sites of interest, undertaking activities, exploring hidden 'secrets', and speaking to the locals who are 'in-the-know'. Our local experts take every effort to accurately capture this information through photography, videos, virtual tours and writings. It can be truly said that our content is fresh, local and 'hand-made'.

Our Local Experts in Alicante

Sarah was a journalist for many years in England before moving to the Alicante region seven years ago. She has had a soft spot for Spain since backpacking around Europe after leaving university.  The countryside, culture, vibrancy of the people and great food were just some of the reasons why she always yearned to return. Since then, Sarah has also developed a passion for Spanish football.

Sarah was delighted to be able to combine her passion for writing with her love of the Alicante and Costa Blanca region by taking over the My Destination Alicante franchise.

“This is a fantastic place to work and play,” says Sarah. “We have beautiful beaches, stunning mountains with an abundance of wildlife and fantastic views, great sports such as golf, tennis and watersports, as well as amazing foods and wines to try. Spain loves to party and there is usually a fiesta going on somewhere in Alicante – some of which need to be seen to be believed! The fallas fiesta in March is my favourite when giant statues are put up in the streets and then burnt to a cinder!”
