Alicante City Shopping

Alicante is a shopping paradise with a good mix of traditional, family-run shops, high street brands, designer goods, markets and shopping malls. You will also find El Corte Ingles department store for clothes, food, electrical goods and books.

Alicante has a very good range of jewellers, clothes shops such as Zara, Mango and Hugo Boss, opticians, supermarkets, handicrafts, art shops and shoe shops. It also has several shopping malls where you can do all your shopping under one roof, often with free parking. Plaza Mar 2 is close to the beach and has several restaurants and a cinema as well as many, many shops. Gran Via has more than 100 shops selling everything from clothing to electrical goods and toys. For a more traditional way of shopping, head for the indoor market in Avenida de Alfonso el Sabio. Stalls are over two floors in this interesting historical building. You can stock up on fresh fruit and veg, fresh fish, meat, cheese and local specialities.
