My Destination Costa Rica is part of the My Destination network. A global network of sites created in 2006 by two young entrepreneurs, James Street & Neil Waller. Chuck Chastain

Native to Charleston South Carolina, Chuck grew up playing in the rivers and surf that surround the area. After school, Chuck and his wife Mercedes opened a window fashion company that grew into the premier provider for North and South Carolina. They sold the company to follow their dream of living a life of “Pura Vida” in Costa Rica and raise their 2 children in paradise.

Besides surfing, Chuck’s other passions include music and travel. He started a music production company that allows him to travel around Costa Rica producing live music events for both local and international acts. Chuck was starting to build a Costa Rica travel website from scratch, but soon found MyDestination.com and was so impressed with what they had already achieved, that he wanted to be a part of it.
