Education remains one of the top concerns for parents around the world, and choosing the right school for you child is an important consideration. Within Turkey, it is of little surprise that Turkish remains the primary language of instruction at preschools, kindergartens and daycare centres. However, there are also an ever-growing number of institutions which cater to the English (and other major foreign language) markets.

Because of its high concentration of expats and a growing demand amongst locals for education in English from childhood, there are a large number of English preschools in Istanbul, along with a handful of French and Italian kindergartens. Eden’s Garden International Preschool

Offering quality, small-class preschooling in the English language, Eden's Garden International Preschool Istanbul services children aged between 2 and 6 years. The school also offers a nursery program, summer discovery camp and playgroup.

Atölye Preschool

Integrating discovery and learning, Atölye Preschool Istanbul caters to children between 2 and 5 years with full and half-day programs offered in Turkish and English. There are also 'playteams' and weekend courses available.

Bosphorus International Preschool

Set inside a beautiful villa on a hill overlooking the Bosphorus, Bosphorus International Preschool offers a preschool program in English along with a Turkish bilingual program. This Istanbul preschool focuses on children aged between 2 and 5 years.

The British International School

Founded on the principles of traditional British education, The British International School Istanbul has programs aimed at playschool aged children all the way through to high school. The School has two preschools in Istanbul; one in Etiler (2.5 years - 4 years old) and the other at the purpose built campus in Zekeriyaköy (2.5 years - 4/6 years).

Istanbul International School

Istanbul International School has preschools in Çamlıca and Ataşehir, both on Istanbul's Asian side. It is the only school in Istanbul to offer both national and international curricula under the same roof in order to encourage shared learning.

The English International School of Istanbul

Occupying a new, purpose-built campus in 4.Levent, the English International School of Istanbul (TEIS) is open to both Turkish and foreign students and offers a British style curriculum to children aged between 2.5 and 6 years.

Mor Kelebek House

Started in 1999, Kemer Kids is a franchise-based preschool group offering discovery based learning for children aged 2 - 6 years, a PYP integrated bilingual program and the Canadian Maple Bear English immersion program for children aged 3 and up.
