Mara Intrepids Overview

The Mara Intrepids Camp is located in the famed Maasai Mara game reserve, not far from the Mara River. This environmentally friendly campsite offers luxurious accommodations to guests, and the opportunity to view elephants, rhinos and other game, as well as the annual wildebeest and zebra migrations. There is an all-weather airstrip near the camp, which can be reached by a short flight from Nairobi. Prices include flights to and from Nairobi, full board, game drives, and park fees.

Mara Intrepids Rooms:

The camp has 30 luxury tents and two bed-roomed family tents which include a spacious lounge and an outside deck overlooking the river and the plains beyond. Set on wooden platforms with amazing views, guest can soak up the peaceful ambiance of the river and the animals that come to drink from its banks. The tents are furnished with four-poster beds draped in mosquito netting, reproduction antique furniture and modern bathrooms. The en-suite bathrooms have two sinks, flush toilets, and showers. Children must be at least two years of age, and receive reduced rates depending on their accommodations; please see the property’s website for details.

Mara Intrepids Restaurants & Bars:

There is a restaurant at the camp, with a separate area that can accommodate large groups. Bush breakfasts, dinners, and sun-downer cocktails are provided upon request.

Mara Intrepids Facilities:

Guests can take guided game drives through the central Masai Mara, which is not as heavily frequented by tourists as other areas, but which is rich in wildlife. There are guided nature walks, and trips to local Masai villages. There is an Adventurers’ Club with activities for children. Balloon safaris are available upon request (additional charges may apply). The camp supports local environmental initiatives and social programs in the local Masai community.

A bush wedding is also something that you may consider. Here you can choose to host your unique and very special ceremony in a variety of locations:

• Hippo pool • Lounge observation tower • Lounge gardens • Masai Manyatta • Sun-downer site
