Heading up My Destination Malta - Niki Bilocca

Niki Bilocca is a Maltese national who has been living on the island of Malta for all his life. Having been practically brought up in a leading tourist resort (his father ran the complex for over 16 years), Niki grew up to appreciate the finer details that single out a memorable vacation from just another holiday.

His first step in the working world, following his university studies in business administration, was in international recruitment consultancy focusing on opportunities in the main European financial cities. Following eight successful years and the recent meltdown in the financial markets, Niki decided that it was a good time to explore something new, closer to his personal interests and more fun.

Niki considers himself to be a DIY tourist for the past twelve years – researching a country and then exploring it solo with his fiancée (more recently his wife and little toddler). This made him recognise the value of having quality and constantly updated information to maximize the travel experience.

One plus one and Niki just could not refuse the idea of managing such a pleasing and comprehensive website, covering the country he loves and offering the type of information he finds so frustratingly difficult to obtain when travelling himself.
