Our Local Experts in Malta

Niki Bilocca is a Maltese national who was brought up with Malta as his playground. The majority of his childhood and teen years were spent in a leading Mediterranean tourist resort (his father ran the complex for over 16 years) and this helped Niki really connect with visitors to the island and truly appreciate the local gems and culture that make Malta a memorable holiday destination.
 
His first step in the working world, following his university studies in business administration, was in international recruitment consultancy focusing on opportunities in the main European financial cities. Following eight successful years and the subsequent meltdown in the financial markets, Niki decided that it was a good time to explore something new, closer to his personal interests and simply more fun.
 
My Destination ticked all the right boxes and, in early 2009, Niki set out to create the best online resource possible about the Maltese islands. Fast forward a few years and he is still as passionate to be showcasing the many attractions of Malta and Gozo through the unique online, mobile and multimedia tools that My Destination offers.
