To get there: Driving north from Chalong Circle on Chao Fa East Road, turn right just before you reach the Flints One Bakery (on the left). Driving south, look out for Wine Connection - and turn left opposite Flints One Bakery. There is a sign for Ao Chalong Resort & Spa which uses the same entrance as the yacht club.

	Ao Chalong Yacht Club (ACYC) Overview The Ao Chalong Yacht Club (ACYC) in the south of Phuket is ideally situated as a sailing centre for cruising vessels. Established in the early 1990s as a cruising club, the club's focus in the sport of sailing has turned more to local races in the scenic Ao Chalong Bay and combined sailing/motor boat rallies for all the family. Club races are on Sundays, twice a month, with both monohulls and catamarans competing. ACYC also organises The Bay Regatta - Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, a four-day regatta held in February. In addition, the Phuket Multihull Championship, a three-day event that sees catamarans and trimarans participating, and Six Senses Phuket Raceweek, an international regatta organised by IMAGE asia in July every year, are held under the auspices of the club. ACYC is now an officially recognized RYA Shore Based Training Centre and is now running theory courses from the premises. The courses offered are 'Day Skipper', 'Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore' and 'Essential Navigation & Seamanship'. The impressive newly-developed club bar, right on the beach, is fast becoming a popular evening hang-out for both members and non-members to engage in friendly chit-chat on every topic under the sun - including yachting, of course. Other clubhouse facilities include a dinghy ramp restaurant and kids playground. The club has plenty of parking.
