Celebrating the strength of the human spirit in the face of life's challenges, the theme for Chingay Parade 2013 is "Fire in Snow". The Snow, symbol of struggles and hardships is overcome by the Fire, symbol of power, passion, dynamism and determination.

The Chingay Parade 2013 will kick off with the lighting of fire pots by 3,000 performers to create a fabulous ocean of fire.

Be enthralled by some breathtaking acts such as the one of 400 Tai Chi sword performers, the Opera presentation and all the traditional processions of sparkling firecrackers, Singapore's Malay and Indian colourful communities.

During the Chingay Parade 2013, all Singapore's communities will come together as one! This spectacle of fire with dazzling pyrotechnics, lion, condor, and god of fire floats, will inspire hope, joy and dynamism.
